Bennetts Karate Dojo - Erie, Colorado
Commercially established in 2009, the Bennetts Karate home dojo is located at 1010 Carbon Ct Unit F in Erie, Colorado. All karate and kobudo classes are run by master instructor Richard Bennett, Renshi - 6th degree black belt.

Richard Bennett has over 20 years teaching experience, with significant time and emphasis training students 4 - 12 years old. Richard Bennett stills travels to Okinawa and Japan to train with masters of various karate and weapons systems for a well rounded instructional method for adults as well. Richard is also involved in competitions locally, nationally, and internationally which provides students options for both traditional and sports karate instruction.

The Bennetts Karate dojo boasts a bamboo hardwood floor for optimum traditional Okinawan Karate and Kobudo training. However, the dojo also has gymnastics matting and tatami type floor mats for children to roll and practice on.
Kids Karate Classes
4 - 6 years old
In this class participants concentrate on karate basics through fun drills that develop coordination, discipline and exercise.
Students will also learn to count and say basic phrases in Japanese used for class. This class has its own ranking system and its purpose is to prepare younger students for the youth/adult karate classes.

Youth Karate Classes
7 - 12 years old
Adult Classes
Ages 13 and up
Students will work on etiquette, discipline, communication skills, and working well with others.
Classes focus on form, kicking and punching drills, prearranged fighting drills, and technical application. Both entry level and advanced drills and exercises will be used to challenge and engage students of all ability levels.

Mon/Wed/Thurs 5:15 - 6 pm
Fridays 4:15 - 5:00 pm
Adult karate classes focus on technique exercises, body conditioning, forms and application.
Adult classes are highly structured, and will cover a range of material from free fighting, bag drills, prearranged drills, rolling and falling as well as throws and take downs.
